I Will Worship the Lord!

Worship: Greek word for worship is proskuneo. It means not to sing, not to have a church service, it means to bow in reverence.

As a Christian we must have an appetite for God. The Holy Spirit will empower you to thrive and thirst for God. There may be times in our lives where our flesh will not want to worship or praise God. But we must remember that even through attacks, trials and tribulations we should be thanking God. Praising God should not fluctuate with our situation or feelings. Why? Because he is with us every step of the way, he is giving us the strength to endure, and plus we should know without any doubts that He has already won the battle. Our God has already won.

Worship will require sacrifice. You will have to say no to your flesh. You ever notice as soon as you get ready to worship, pray, bible study, you get sleepy!!! The devil!!! Resist him and he will flee. Crucify your flesh and worship the Lord our God Almighty.

When we lift up praise to the Lord during our difficult times. We are putting hell on notice that they have been defeated! We will use this weapon of praise that God has given us through every single attack. We will bind the powers of Satan with our weapon of praise.

When praise and worship are raised wholeheartedly within us, God comes with his holiness, his glory, his power, and his love.

When you raise a song to the Lord, your heart focuses on him, you proclaim his victory and focus on his greatness, his power and majesty.

Declaration: I declare Father, because I have breath in me, I will praise you all of my days. This breath proves that I qualify to praise you and praise you I shall.

Prayer: Father God, teach me how to praise you when I cannot feel you, when I cannot hear you, when I am feeling down, in the difficult seasons, teach me Lord. Thank you for defeating the plans of the enemy as I praise you. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

Psalms 145 A psalm of praise. Of David.

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds. They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you. They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does. The Lord upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all looks to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. The Lord watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
