Holy Spirit Lead Me

The Holy Spirit came to lead us into all truth. The Holy Spirit inspired men to write the Holy Scriptures. As we read the Bible, He reveals its truth to us. There are times when you read passages that you have read many times before, and suddenly, at that particular moment when you need a particular truth, a certain passage comes alive. Why? Because the Holy Spirit makes the Word of God relevant and meaningful when you need it. It is the living Word inspired by the Holy Spirit. The only way to completely understand the truths of the Bible is to be filled and controlled by the Holy Spirit.

It’s this thought that makes what Jesus said in these passages even more remarkable, “it is for your good that I am going away…” What could be better than Christ with us? There’s only one thing better, and that’s Christ within us through the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ. The fact is, Jesus never intended for us to try to do our Christian journey alone or in our own strength. Yet many of us live our lives struggling and striving, often with the best intent, to follow God by the flesh, when this whole time Jesus has provided a new way to live by his Spirit.

Here's a fun fact!! We will be led by whatever we are filled with. For example, if we are filled with selfishness, we will be led by selfishness etc.

So, take a moment and ask yourself what are you filled with?

The Spirit of God leads those who are filled with him. This is the mark of sonship. He will lead us to pray, fast, humble ourselves, ask for forgiveness, extend forgiveness, give sacrificially, and serve without complaining.

· All Christians have a relationship with the Holy Spirit, but not all have intimacy with him. There is a difference. Intimacy only comes through the surrender of our lives to the Holy Spirit.

· The Holy Spirit reminds you that God is always at work in your life. God is still on the throne. Jesus is still your savior. All hope is never lost.

· The Holy spirit helps you out when you cannot see God in the details of your circumstances.

· We depend upon the Holy Spirit to guide us, strengthen us, protect us, transform us, and lead us.

· The Holy Spirit is given to us to help us fulfill Jesus' agenda to reach the world.

· Without the Holy Spirit, we get obsessed with titles, positions and ranks. With the Holy Spirit, we care about his calling, purpose and mission.

*Sign you are living with the Holy Spirit, healing the sick, casting out devils, saving the lost, impacting the world and disregarding what people say about you.

* Signs you are living without the Holy Spirit is being inwardly focused, needy, feeling entitled, easily offended, overly suspicious, jealous, living for the applause of man, ready to give up upon hearing the slightest criticism, blaming others.

Prayer: Father, today we humble ourselves before you and ask that you open our eyes and our hearts in a new and deeper way to your Holy Spirit. We thank you that you haven’t left us alone but are with us always. Amen.
